Introduction

In rivers with high risk of erosion, bank protections have been installed to prevent erosion and avoid failure of infrastructure like bridges. Bank protections have significantly modified river's morphology and limit or remove habitats in the parts of the river where embankment was realized. Removal of bank protection is a measure which aims at restoring sediment processes in rivers and retrieve fish habitats (Vonwiller et al., 2018).
